Mehmet Ali's side have been drawn against EFL opposition: Exeter City, Reading and Swindon Town in Group G (Southern) of the competition.

After an impressive group campaign last season that saw wins against Northampton Town and Cambridge United, we reached the competition's round-of-16 stage, but were narrowly beaten 3-2 by Stevenage FC.
The season prior under Kevin Betsy, we reached the quarter-final stage, before suffering a 1-0 defeat to League One side Wigan Athletic.
