Loan Watch: Patino scores in first Swansea win

Charlie Patino continued his impressive start to the season by scoring his first goal for Swansea City in their first win of the season - a 3-0 victory at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

After the game, Charlie said: “I’m delighted with the goal, I want to kick on from here. I’ve got three or four assists already, I’m just trying to help the team as much as possible."

Ruby Doe also got herself on the scoresheet for Ipswich Town on the weekend. After getting an assist, Doe netted the fourth in Ipswich’s 8-0 win at home to Cheltenham Town.

Ipswich remain second in the FA WPL Premier Division South, three points behind Hashtag United.

In the Premier League, Sambi Lokonga played 57 minutes as Luton Town got their first point of the season with a 1-1 draw at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers to move up to 18th.

Nuno Tavares, having come on in the 53rd minute of Monday night’s 1-1 draw at home to Burnley, got his first start for Nottingham Forest in Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Manchester City, but was withdrawn due to injury in the 39th minute. Steve Cooper’s side are 12th in the division.

There were back-to-back clean sheets for Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Millwall in the Sky Bet Championship, as they beat Rotherham United 3-0 at home on Wednesday and drew 0-0 away to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Brooke played 160 minutes across the two fixtures, which saw Millwall go 11th in the Championship.

Kieran Tierney was in UEFA Champions League action last week as he played 62 minutes of Real Sociedad’s 1-1 draw at home to Inter Milan. After their first game, Sociedad are third in Group D.

Over in Ligue 1, consecutive wins have seen Nantes climb to ninth. Marquinhos came on in the 80th minute of their 5-3 win at home to FC Lorient on Saturday.

Returning to the Football League, Wigan Athletic are 21st in Sky Bet League One after Saturday’s 4-1 defeat away to Bristol Rovers, which Omar Rekik played the first half of.

As for Mauro Bandeira, he played 76 minutes as Colchester United were beaten 5-0 at home to Tottenham Hotspur Under-21s in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night.

Kido Taylor-Hart came on in the 29th minute for his Bromley debut in Saturday’s 1-1 draw away to second placed Solihull Moors. Bromley are now fifth in the Vanarama National League.

It was a game to forget for Nathan Butler-Oyedeji on Tuesday, as he was sent off in the 88th minute of Cheltenham Town’s 3-0 loss at Peterborough United in League One.
