Declan Rice opened a new pitch at the Dickerage Lane Adventure Playground this week.
Working with Muller and Adidas, Declan helped to revamp the facility that he had used since he was two years old.
Speaking to ITV, Declan said: “I’m so proud. I’ve obviously spent a massive part of my life here. I’ve been coming here since I was two year old and now I’m 25.
“It’s been such a big part of my family’s life, my brothers, my mum and dad. Walking in and seeing the people and the turnout is so special.
“It was my routine. When I was a teenager and a kid growing up, coming through those gates, I was here four or five nights a week and my mum couldn’t even get me home!
"I was addicted to the place and it made a massive part in where I am today, so I love this place.”
